About the event
Potato is grown in 130 countries where 75% of the total world population lives. It is in the list of top 5 diets of a modern person. Russia, China, Poland, USA and India are world’s leading potato growers.
Today, Uzbekistan has achieved great success in the process of its cultivation. We have already harvested significant amount of crop in our fields that were once unsuitable for growing tubers.
International Potato Day is aimed to create a platform where the result that have already been achieved could be shown; it is also aimed to create a platform to introduce farmers to new high-tech solving and its adaptation to our environment; introduce to the leading companies working in this sector and create a platform for experience exchange with successful farms of producers of other countries.
- International Potato Day in Uzbekistan is the first project of such scope held in Uzbekistan
